Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yoga is a holistic practice that unites movement, breath, and mindfulness to cultivate balance in the body and mind. Rooted in ancient traditions, yoga offers physical postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to promote strength, flexibility, and inner peace.

In our classes, we focus on making yoga accessible to all—whether you're looking for relaxation, physical wellness, or a deeper connection with yourself.

  • No! Yoga is not about touching your toes—it’s about what you learn on the way down. Flexibility is something that develops over time with practice, but it’s not a requirement to start. Yoga meets you where you are, helping you build strength, mobility, and awareness at your own pace.

All levels are welcome in our classes, and we encourage you to move in a way that feels good for your body.

  • No special clothes are required! Simply wear what makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move as freely as possible. Yoga is about connection, not clothing, so there’s no need for fancy gear—just something you feel at ease in.

If you're unsure, we recommend clothing that won’t restrict your movement, but we welcome you exactly as you are.

  • Trauma-informed yoga is an approach we take in all our classes that prioritize safety, choice, and empowerment in the practice. It recognizes that everyone carries unique experiences and that yoga should be a space of healing, not pressure or discomfort.

In a trauma-informed class, instructors offer gentle guidance, optional modifications, and a non-judgmental environment where you are always in control of your practice. There’s no expectation to move a certain way—just an invitation to explore what feels right for you, at your own pace.

Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels respected, supported, and welcome—no matter where they are on their journey.

  • No, yoga is not a religion. It is an ancient practice rooted in movement, breathwork, and mindfulness. While yoga originated within spiritual traditions, it is not tied to any specific belief system. People of all backgrounds practice yoga for physical well-being, mental clarity, and inner peace.

In our classes, we focus on yoga as a tool for self-care, connection, and personal growth—welcoming everyone, regardless of faith or philosophy.

Class Policies

By attending any class or event with us, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to our policies as outlined on our website.

  • We kindly ask that all phones remain on silent and out of sight during class to maintain a mindful and distraction-free environment. Photography, texting, and social media use are not permitted in the yoga space out of respect for the shared experience and the intimate nature of the practice.

If you'd like to take photos of yourself or with friends, we encourage you to do so before or after class, outside of the immediate yoga space, and with discretion to ensure the privacy and comfort of others.

  • We believe in intergenerational, family-friendly spaces where children are welcome to practice alongside adults. Yoga is a practice of presence, and we encourage parents to support their young ones in engaging with the class. Yogis 5-17 years old are invited to join with their parents and must agree to follow the below expectations:

    1. Adults must register and purchase a pass or membership. If your child (ages 5–17) is attending class, a parent or guardian must register them and also have a valid class pass or active membership to participate.

    2. Kids will be kids! Gentle giggles, quiet moments of curiosity, and playful energy are welcome as part of the shared experience.

    3. Mindful participation is key. If a child becomes consistently disruptive—meaning their energy is louder than the instructor for an extended period—parents may be asked to help guide them back to their mat or take a short break.

  • We understand that life happens, and sometimes arriving on time can be a challenge. While we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and fully enjoy the class, we welcome late arrivals with kindness and understanding. If you’re running late, please enter quietly and join us when you can—we’re just happy you’re here!

That said, arriving on time helps you get the most out of your practice and minimizes disruptions for others. If you’re joining us for the first time, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to get comfortable and familiarize yourself with the space.

Thank you for being part of our community—we’re so glad you’re here!
